Dr. Roberto Cingolani

Dr. Cingolani is the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Leonardo. Roberto is also the former Minister for the Ecological Transition and founded the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa, which he also led as Scientific Director. He was a staff member at the Max Planck Institute in Stuttgart and a Visiting Professor at Tokyo University and Virginia Commonwealth University. Roberto served as Leonardo’s Chief Technology and Innovation Officer and founded the National Nanotechnology Laboratory of the Italian Institute for the Physics of Matter. He has served as an Advisor for the Ministry of Research and University as well as for the European Commission.
